No matter how much I see it other way round, I still love traveling, hotel related, event related. Writing this makes me think a lot too. I do love writing, reading things that can relate to me, express my feelings through writing.. My job now probably just a phase that I need to go through in order to get better things along the way, maybe. It's a job. I don't say it as a career since in my POV, career is a passion.. I still have lots of dreams that I want it to come true. It's not gonna be easy, but I am sure, process is a process. How I want to achieve it, it all depends on individuals.
Thanked you to my parents-in-law for willing to spend extra money on my husband and I for the trip. We never travel with them before and this is our first time. I will return to the country for more spending and exploring. This 1st time trip will be able to help me again on my second trip, with God's will. It took me for few months to find a better service of a travel agent to handle my family trip privately, with all my nagging sessions, my so many questions about this and that before the trip.
I heard from others that their journey to Korea are much more fun that we are. OK.
Traveling is never easy. You need to prepare in order to keep up with the phase. Or else, you might miss your flight, you might caught with flu, you might get gastric, you might get headache etc. But! It's fun. And must you know, there will always be chaos. Whether or not you can wake up on time, get a good food, but you learn more things. See more things. We are too small to compare to each other in this world. Discipline!!
Here's the thing, it is always different when you travel with families with kid or with friends. It's either your parents blend in with your style, go for a drink, club, walk for non-stop for 5 hours straight, resting for about 15 minutes only etc... OR.. You blend with your parents. Your parents are not young anymore and you know they have health problem time to time. They need rest. Or maybe members of the family don't like to walk much, don't really like sightseeing, etc. You get me? Depends on the individuals..
Our flight from Miri took about 2 hours and 10 minutes via Air Asia, reaching KL around 10pm-ish and we took a short nap in Air Asia Tune Hotel just 5 minutes walk from KLIA2. Flight to Korea was at 8am-ish and we left the hotel by 5am. Took a shower is already one thing, doing make-ups and trying to look decent in the morning is already another thing. We had our breakfast and went into the departure hall by 7am-ish. Flight to Korea was about 6 hours, more or less .. Forgive me, I don't really count. I am full of -ish). There was an Australian guy sitting to the aisle, and he can't even get up during the whole 6 hours! I am to the point thinking that he was dead. Sleep like a log. Really! Whenever I went to the washroom, he don't even move. Probably drowsy with medicine.
I don't know...
Dear all, whenever you are travelling abroad, please fill in the immigration pass or form given by the cabin crews. You are not Korean, you are a traveller who wants to visit their country, of course you need a pass. Do a bit of homework, why not.

We stayed at a place called Shin Chon Hostel. Knowing that I will keep on going anywhere instead of staying in the hostel, I don't really mind. As long as there is private bathroom, clean sheets, appropriate extension, all is fine. I love the cold weather, and my skin glowed...~~ Ahaaaa~~ Nah, not showing any pictures of the hostel. Google it.

We had our short walk at nearby places before dinner and after that for free and easy activity. We went to Ewha Womans University, located as well in Seodaemun-gu and it is just like 5 minutes walk from the hostel. Plenty of girls, obviously. One of a private women's university in Seoul. Major into Arts, Social Science, Law, Business and even Education. Apparently, the Uni does let outsiders to visit the the compound.

Followed by that, we went to few more places of interest for the next few days. Nami Island is just as beautiful as it is. I can't express the beauty, even though it's crowded and pack with tourists but the local authority seems to be able to take care of that place very well.
 |
We Line? Ahahaha.. |
 |
Night time scene. |
"Namiseom Island is 63 km away from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon, and is famous for its beautiful tree lined roads. The island is 30 minutes away from Chuncheon and an hour away from the suburbs of Seoul. Since it is not far from Seoul, many couples and families come to visit." - visitkorea.or.kr
Since there is no land transport to reach there, ferry was provided. And a zipline too. If I have the chance to choose, I would have went with zipline. It looked so much fun! Even if it will take about 2 minutes of less, because going with ferry only took us about 5 minutes only..
 |
This is the zipline entrance that I'm talking about. |
 |
So many colours! |
 |
That snowman is just too cute... |

I detected the language!! |
Oh, I didn't realise how much we pay per entry. Since it is all in in the package, I tend to just have fun like little kid. Running here and there, snapped here and there. Lol. My bad. I should have written it down so that I can share with you.
Popular for its Metasequoia path, which you can see in the pictures. Which lead to a drama scene back aired in 2002.

The island is popular as one of the main filming location which is the Winter Sonata, starred by Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji Woo.
Soon after that, halfway returning to Seoul, everyone doozed off. Ahaha. The island was huge and to walk around probably could take a day to see around for sightseeing. We took our short nap on our way heading to Namsan Tower.

Reaching up! |
 |
The reasons why people want to come here is to lock their padlock forever with their love ones! There is no key to open up the padlock. NO key.. So.. If you are with your ex that time, to this place to locked your love, you are doomed. Hahahahaha... |
 |
So many of them! Rusty. @ Namsan Seoul Tower |
"Namsan Seoul Tower was the first tower-type tourism spot in Korea. The top of the tower is at almost 480m above sea level, including Namsan Mountain (243m) and the tower’s own height (236.7m), making it one of the tallest towers in the Orient. It is comprised of Seoul Tower Plaza, recently opened to public access after 40 years, and N Seoul Tower, operated by CJ Foodville since 2005. The tower was first established as a broadcast tower to send out TV and radio signals in 1969. As of now, it has become one of the representative landmarks and multi-cultural venues in Seoul." - visitkorea.or.kr

The next day was visiting nearby places in the city. It is all in walking distance. We really walked. It was tiring. Korea got a lot of hills and steep area. Some Koreans wear heels walk around to such places. We went to Cheonggyecheon Stream, King Sejong Museum, Gwanghwamun Square, Gyeongbokkung Palace.
 |
@Cheonggyecheon Stream 11 km long, if I'm not mistaken? |

King Sejong Statue and Museum. The statue was constructed as part of the creation of new public space in central Seoul. He was remembered for his invention in Hangul, also involved in promotion of agriculture, literature, science and technology, as a Confucian philosophy in Korea too. (Wikipedia)

We got our names in Korean~ :) |
Few minutes from Gwanghwamun Square, we took quite a walk to Gyeongbokung Palace. As I heard, part of the palace was still remain original and some of it were being renovated similarly for tourism purpose. Gyeongbokgung Palace is one of the most beautiful and remains the largest of all palaces. Means.. There are five palaces altogether. It was sunny and chill when we reached there, and crowded. Pack with tourists and people wearing the Korean traditional attire can be seen everywhere taking pictures. Even the Korean themselves.
Admission Fee? I took this reference from visitkorea.or.kr; so you can refer to that website too. Adults from 19 to 6, around KRW 3,000. Meanwhile for kids at the age of 7 to 18, KRW 1500 to be charge.

Hanbok that I am wearing is for the Queen. Since most people want to be a princess, I decided to be different. Strong color, elegant and most importantly, a Queen. |
 |
Muahahahahhaha. On your left is Park Shin Hye. On your right, is another lady queen wannabe in Korea. :P |
Later after that, we went to Myeongdong Street. A fabulous shopping district with countless shops and restaurants. You'll need a whole day with tons of money for a shopaholic! BTW, 8" shop can be found in Myeongdong Street where G-Dragon from Big Bang collaborate with it to promo! Like an ambassador.
Pardon me. I was busy shopping till I forgot to take more pictures here.
The next following day we went to Everland Theme Park!!! Located about 1 hour from the city, in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. This theme park ranked at 16th in the world for amusement park attendance in 2014. One of the famous ride in Everland is the T-Express, Korean's first wooden roller-coaster. I went for this and it was crazy~~!!!!
When you go there, make sure you buy your tickets with rides. If not, you'll have difficulties to ride the games that you want to try.
 |
This~~!!!! |

The queue was super long and luckily we went there early. |

Food? Oh ya.. I almost forgot about that. Few mistakes I have made for the food part. I didn't write down the names, and the place, and the prices too. I mean, it can help you sometimes in the future when you are in Korea right? Well, at least I know you have read my humble simple nonsense blog. I was overwhelmed with the tastiness of local food in Korea, I ended up taking pic and straight away to the tummy!
Actually, I did a short clips on all of my food that I have taken and tried in Korea. Somehow, this blog won't fit in with my request.. Hmph.
 |
Kampeyy~!!! |
Keep on scrolling down people..
You are almost there..
Ok, I didn't put all, so no worries.
That would be annoying..
Okay. I'm done with this. You people are getting boring with my words here.
May the pictures help you and as well with the names of places that I have wrote. Hopefully when I go again, I can meet anyone of you. What a coincidence, that will be. :P I don't write well and I'm sorry but again, hope you enjoy my long stories.
 |
Somebody wants to stay~~ |
 |
He is ALWAYS with you. Thank you God for the journey!! |
